leaky pipes needing repiping While your plumbing system is built to last a long period of time, it will not last forever. After years of continuous use, your pipes may eventually need to be completely replaced through a process called repiping. Our service technicians are well-prepared to handle any commercial repiping job, no matter the size.

What is Repiping?

Repiping is the process of switching out your existing pipes for new pipes of the same size. We will either do this by running lines through the attic and down, or by digging around the exterior of the building. This allows us to install the new piping without causing major damage to your building or property.

This is done without changing the overall structure of your building’s plumbing system and with minimal interruptions to your business. You and your employees will be able to remain in the building during the entire process, which can often be done in one day.

Why Would Repiping be Necessary?

When your pipes are nearing the end of their lives, they will produce noticeable signs that it’s time for a replacement. Some of the most obvious signs include:

  • Low water pressure
  • Dark flakes in water
  • Leaky pipes
  • Strange tasting water
  • Rusty colored water
  • More than one pinhole leak within a given year
  • Inconsistent water temperatures
  • Water is taking a long time to heat up

Many of the above issues are caused by deterioration of the pipes over time or a buildup of mineral deposits. These issues, especially the leaks/holes, can result in an excess waste of water, an increase in water bills, and water damage within your building.

If you notice any of the above signs within your building, contact Pete Fer & Son right away. We will evaluate the condition of your pipes and determine whether repiping or repairs are in your best interest. Call us or reach out to us through the form below to schedule an appointment.
