Air conditioning units require that their many unique parts all work together to function as a whole. When one component fails, so does the entire unit. Some of the most common issues stem from a faulty AC compressor.
An AC compressor is one of the major components of your air conditioning unit. It is sometimes known as the “heart” of the air conditioning system as it plays a huge role in the operation of the AC unit.
When the refrigerant inside your AC unit enters the compressor, it is a cool gas under low pressure. The compressor pushes the gas together to increase the energy and temperature. Once hot and under high pressure, the gas is able to travel to the AC condenser for a further transformation.
Only an HVAC technician will be able to determine the exact cause of an AC problem. One of our certified service technicians will inspect your entire AC unit in order to diagnose the issue. We will measure the resistance of the compressor to be sure it is not an electrical problem. Then, we will examine the entirety of the compressor to figure out whether it needs to be repaired or replaced—whichever is the most cost-effective and logical solution.
If your AC unit is not producing cool air, is not turning on, or is making strange noises, contact us. One of our technicians will arrive promptly in order to quickly and efficiently restore your unit back to working order.
